The lowest auto-ignition temperature of the test item was determined to be 315 °C in the main test.

Due to safety reasons and according to the guidelines the lowest measured temperature at which an ignition was observed was rounded to the next lower number divisible by 5, giving a value of 310 °C.

Conclusions:
The auto-ignition temperature of the test item was determined to be 310 °C.
Executive summary:

A study was conducted according to Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008, Method A.15. The main test is started at the lowest auto-ignition temperature found in the preliminary test and the temperature then decreased in intervals of 2 – 5 K. The amount of test item added to the apparatus is varied until a temperature is found where no ignition is observed independent of the amount of test item added. Three test series were carried out. The lowest auto-ignition temperature rounded down to the nearest multiple of 5 was determined as 310 °C.

Description of key information

The auto-ignition temperature of the test item was determined to be 310 °C (reference 4.12-1).

Key value for chemical safety assessment
