Results

The first and second preliminary test found an auto-ignition temperature of 300 °C, respectively. Atmospheric pressure during the pre-test was 1004.7 mbar.

ln the Table 1 below, the auto-ignition temperatures, ignition delay times and used drops are summarised for the main study.

The auto-ignition temperature was determined to be 280 °C (lowest out of three and rounded down to a whole multiple of 5 K), whereby ignition occurred after 24 seconds by using five drops. The three lowest values of the main study lay within a range of 5 K (as required for auto-ignition temperatures below 300 °C).

Conclusions:
The auto-ignition of the test item was determined according to EU A.15. and is 280 °C at 1004.7 mbar.
Executive summary:

The auto-ignition of the test item was determined according to EU A.15. and is 280 °C at 1004.7 mbar.
