Description of key information

The main components in the UVCB substance "Reaction product of saturated palm kernel fatty acids and oxybispropanediol" are not expected to hydrolyse at acid and neutral conditions (half-life >>1 yr). Some hydrolysis (DT50 = 31d, at pH=9) may take place at alkaline conditions.

All components in the UVCB substance and its main degradation products are found to be readily primary and ultimate biodegradable. They are not expected to distribute strongly to soil and sediment as such due to their readily primary and ultimate biodegradability.

The concentration weighted average of logKoc was found at 2.1 -3.1 (based on US EPA Epi Suite v4.0 calculations).

Due to their low Henrys constants (log10 (Henry) <-5)) they will not partition to air to any significant degree.
