Preliminary test:

In the preliminary test the lowest temperature where an ignition was observed was 133.0 °C. The result “ignition” is indicated by + and “no ignition” by -.

Main test:

In the main test the lowest temperature where an ignition was observed was 132.0 °C.

The mean measured flash point is corrected to the ambient pressure to be 132.58 °C.

The resulting average corrected flash point rounded down to the nearest multiple of 0.5 °C is 132.5 °C.

The result “ignition” is indicated by + and “no ignition” by -.

Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
The flash point of the test item was determined to be 132.5 °C.
Executive summary:

A study was conducted according to Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 method A.9 and ISO 2719 to determine the flash point of the test item using a closed cup method with Pensky-Martens apparatus. A preliminary test was performed with a search program to determine the rough flash point. For the main test about 60 g of the test item were filled in the cup. The first ignition trial of the main test was performed at a test item temperature 23 ± 5 °C below the approximate flash point determined in the preliminary test, with a stirrer speed of 90 - 120 rpm and a heating rate of 5 – 6 K/min. The test was performed twice. The measured flash point at atmospheric pressure was determined to be 132 °C and it was corrected to a standard pressure of 1013 hPa - 132.58 °C. Thus, the flash point of the test item was determined to be 132.5 °C (corrected and rounded down to the nearest multiple of 0.5 °C) at 1013.25 hPa.
