Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

48h-EL50 > 100 mg/L (filtered, nominal) for immobilisation of Daphnia magna (OECD 202)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One study investigating the short-term toxicity of the test substance to aquatic invertebrates is available. The study was performed according to GLP and OECD guideline 202 using Daphnia magna as test organism (Schnurstein 2009). Concentrations between and 100 mg/L were tested. The test substance preparations were filtered through a filter paper circle of 320 mm diameter before testing. No immobilised daphnids could be observed in any treatment and the control during the exposure time of 48h. Thus, the 48h-EL50 value is determined to be > 100 mg/L loading based on nominal concentrations.
