Description of key information

The test substance is not considered to be an oxidising substance.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
non oxidising

Additional information

The oxidising properties of the test substance was determined according to EU Method A.17. A mixture containing 10, 20 and 30% weight of the test substance were tested. The highest burning rate of 0.51 mm/s was determined with a mixture containing 20% weight of the substance. The test substance is not considered an oxidising substance because the maximum burning rate of the mixture tested is lower than the maximum burning rate of the reference mixture.

Justification for classification or non-classification

In accordance with Annex I, Section 2.4, Section 2.13 and Section 2.14 of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 and UN GHS Rev 6 (2015) the substance has not to be classified as oxidising gas, oxidising liquid or oxidising solid in class 5 Division 5.1.
