The test substance cannot be considered as readily biodegradable under the tested conditions.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

Ready biodegradability of the test substance has been examined with the CO2 Evolution Test according to OECD Guideline 301 B. The substance has been tested at a nominal concentration of 14 mg carbon/L. 0 % biodegradation has been observed under the tested conditions. The reference substance showed a biodegradatio rate of 115%. The test substance showed no inhibitory effect on activated sludge microorganisms at the tested concentrations of 24 mg test substance/L. The pass criteria of > 60 % was not reached within 28 days. Therefore, the test substance cannot be considered as readily biodegradable under the tested conditions.
