9.16 g of the test item were filled into the stainless steel wire mesh cube and placed in the oven at 25 °C. The test item showed no significant thermal effects up to 401 °C. After the test the mesh wire cage was nearly completely empty.

Executive summary:

A study was conducted according to Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 Part A A.16 to determine the self-ignition temperature of the test substance. Therefore, 9.16 g of the test item were filled into the stainless steel wire mesh cube and placed in the oven at 25 °C the temperature of the oven was increased to 401 °C at a rate of 0.5 °C/min. The test item showed no significant thermal effects up to 401 °C. Thus, the test item has no self-ignition temperature up to 401 °C.
