In case of eyes contact:
Rinse immediately with plenty of water. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice.
In case of ingestion:
Rinse mouth thoroughly with water. Get medical advice.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed:
Causes severe skin burns and eye damage.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed:
If skin irritation or rash occurs, get medical advice/attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media:
Suitable extinguishing media:
Water, foam, dust or CO2.
Unsuitable extinguishing media:
Not available.
Special hazards arising from the
substance or mixture
Can be released in case of fire: toxic fumes or vapors.
Advice for firefighters:
Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus and personal protection equipment.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
For non-emergency personnel:
Provide adequate ventilation. Do not breathe vapour. Wear suitable gloves and eye/face protection. For personal protection see Section 8.
For emergency responders:
Wear an appropriate NIOSH/MSHA approved respirator if dust is generated.
Environmental Precautions:
Do not allow material to be released to the environment without proper governmental permits
Methods for Containment and Cleaning up:
Remove with liquid-absorbing material (sand, peat, sawdust).

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling:
Protective measures:
Wash hands thoroughly after handling. Provide adequate ventilation. Do not breathe vapour. Wear protective gloves and eye/face protection.
Advice on general occupational
hygiene:
Do not eat, drink and smoke in work areas. Wash hands after use. Remove contaminated clothing and protective equipment before entering eating areas.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Personal protection equipment:
- Respiratory protection: Full mask respirator 3M 6800.
- Hand protection: safety rubber gloves, chemical resistant gloves.
- Eye protection: protective face mask
- Skin protection: Flame retardant antistatic protective clothing, cotton work
clothing.
- Other protections: safety shoes, antistatic heel grounders.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity:
The substance is stable under normal storage and handling conditions.
Chemical stability:
Stable at room temperature in closed containers under normal storage and handling conditions.
Possibility of hazardous reactions:
Reacts with alkalis and oxidizing materials.
Conditions to avoid:
Incompatible materials. Avoid exposition to heat and dampness.
Incompatible materials:
Alkalis and oxidizing materials.
Hazardous decomposition products:
When heated to decomposition, emits toxic CO fumes and phosphorus oxides.

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods:
Due to the high risk of contamination recycling/recovery is not recommended. Waste disposal in accordance with regulations (most probably controlled incineration).
