Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
In the screening test according to Grewer with the pure product an endothermal effect was observe in the temperature range 60 – 220 °C. At 240 °C the beginning of an exothermal effect was detected. A multistage reaction led to a temperature >650 °C.
UN Transport Regulations: Due to the results from the Grewer-Oven-Test the substance has not to be classified as “self-heating substance” (class 4.2).
EU-GHS/CLP: Due to the results from the Grewer-Oven-Test the substance has not to be classified as “self-heating substance”.
Executive summary:

The substance was tested for autoflammability according to VDI 2263 sheet 1 (screening in the Grewer oven).

In the screening test according to Grewer with the pure product an endothermal effect was observe in the temperature range 60 – 220 °C. At 240 °C the beginning of an exothermal effect was detected.

A multistage reaction led to a temperature >650 °C.

In the screening test with the kieselgur mixture (1:1) the beginning of an exothermal effect was detected at 250 °C. A multistage reaction led to a temperature of approximately 450 °C
