There is one GLP study available investigating the acute toxicity of the substance to aquatic invertebrates according to the OECD guideline 202.

In the key study, Daphnia magna was exposed to the five test concentrations of 3.2, 6.6, 14.3, 30.1, and 78.7 mg/L (based on DOC-analysis) for 48 h in a static test. The test media were prepared by dilution (1:1, 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, 1:16) of a 320 mg/L stock solution, which was stirred for 24 h and filtered before use. The test item was analytically verified by DOC analysis in all concentration levels and control at test initiation (0 h, fresh media).The test item solutions were clearly dissolved in all tested concentration levels throughout exposure. The actual test item exposure concentrations were calculated based on DOC analysis. After 48 h the substance affected the mobility of daphnia. The obtained EC50 (48 h) was 6.3 mg/L (measured).

The available key study (2017) testing the toxicity of the substance to algae (OECD 201) showed that the test item concentrations in the test solutions were within ± 20% of nominal values at 0 h and after 72 h. Therefore, the test item concentration is likely stable throughout the test and the lowest EC50 (48) of 6.3 mg/L (measured), as reported by the key study, is retained as key value.
