The substance was tested following Richtlinie 79/831/EWG, Anhang V In (BASF, 1984). In the full test, the maximum burning rate of test substance mixture is lower than the maximum burning rate of the reference mixture and the ratio was calculated to be 0.5.

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to the CLP Regulation (EC n. 1272/2008) section 2.14.1: Oxidising solid means a solid substance or mixture which, while in itself is not necessarily combustible, may, generally by yielding oxygen, cause, or contribute to, the combustion of other material.

The substance is not capable to intensify the fire and shows a burning time less than the reference mixture with cellulose, therefore it does not meet the criteria for classification.
