Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Environmental Classification related key information for HiMo LAB:

Biodegradation in water: not readily biodegradable (RA from LAB, LAB alkylate bottoms, HAB and EPISUITE QSAR calculations)

Bioaccumulation: no potential to bioaccumulate; log Kow > 12 (EPISUITE QSAR calculation)

Water solubility: < 0.1 g/L (insoluble, EPISUITE QSAR calculation)

The Summary of Acute aquatic toxicity data for HiMo LAB:

For fish: 14d LC50>10µg a.i L/d (RA from LAB) 96hLC50> %100WAF (RA from LAB alky. bot.) ; LC50 > water solubility

For invertebrates: 48h EC50 >1.4 mg/L (RA from LAB) 48h-EC50>0.041mg ai/L (RA from HAB); EC50 > water solubility

For algae:  72h-EbC50 >0.1mg/L (RA from LAB)    72h-EbC50= 2.08 mg/L (RA from HAB);  EC50 > water solubility

The Summary of Chronic aquatic toxicity data for HiMo LAB

For fish: 14d NOEC >10µg a.i L/d (RA from LAB); NOEC > water solubility

For invertebrates: 21d NOEC= 0.0075 mg/L (RA from LAB, HAB); NOEC > water solubility

For algae: 72h-NOECb ≥ 0.05 mg/L (RA from LAB)   72-h NOECb= 2.08 mg/L (RA from HAB); NOEC > water solubility

Conclusion on classification

Based on available acute and chronic aquatic data from analogue substances and EPISUITE QSAR modeling calculation, HiMo LAB is considered as insoluble substance which EC50 and NOEC values were greater than water solubility. Therefore the substance should be classified as category chronic 4 and R53, following section 4.1.2.6 of the CLP Regulation and DSD, respectively.
