The substance is not explosive, based on expert judgement taking into account the functional groups present and oxygen balance.

The substance does not contain any functional groups quoted in ‘Manual of Tests and Criteria’ (fourth revised edition, appendix 6, table A 6.1) or Bretherick’s – Handbook (6th Edition, Volume 2, p 128 ff) which may indicate explosive properties. Furthermore, the oxygen balance is -302. An oxygen balance higher than -200 indicates the potential presence of explosive properties. Therefore, it can be concluded by expert judgement that this substance is not explosive.
