Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Biofert Plusz: 92% biodegradation after 28 d (readily biodegradable and fulfilling the 10-d window criterion)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
readily biodegradable

Additional information

No data are available on the biodegradation of L-threonine mother liquor. Based on the composition of Biofert Plusz (mixture of approximately equal amounts of L-threonine mother liquor and modified waste) and taking into account that modified waste (mortified microbiological material) itself is not subject to biodegradation it can be assumed that the results obtained with Biofert Plusz apply likewise to the test material under investigation (L-threonine mother liquor).

The ready biodegradability of Biofert Plusz was determined in a study conducted according to OECD Guideline 301 B.
