Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Not readily biodegradable (29% and 17% biodegradation at 10 mg/L and 20 mg/L substance respectively, OECD 301B)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In a test investigating the biodegradation of the substance according to OECD 301B and GLP (1993) activated sludge was exposed to 10 and 20 mg/L of reaction mass containing six benzylated amine silanes. 17 and 29% biodegradation was observed after 28 days for 20 mg/L and 10 mg/L tested item, respectively. Although some biodegradation was recorded after 28 days of incubation, the reaction mass containing six benzylated amine silanes is not readily biodegradable under the conditions of the modified Sturm test.
