Additional information

The key study was conducted in line with GLP and the standardised guideline EU Method A.15. It was assigned a reliability score of 1 in accordance with the criteria detailed by Klimisch (1997).

The test flask was heated in a flask heater. Aliquots of the test material (tested as received) were injected into the flask and observed for signs of ignition over a 300 second period. This procedure was repeated, with various sample sizes, until the lowest temperature at which ignition occurred within 300 seconds of insertion was determined.

Under the conditions of this study, the test material has been determined to have an auto-ignition temperature of 474 ± 5 °C.
