Additional information

The substance is a hydrocarbon UVCB “white oil” that is not considered to pose either an acute or chronic hazard to the environment. The toxicological properties of the substance have been assessed using a combination of specific studies and QSAR assessments. In all cases, no toxicity has been noted at either the limit of solubility in water, or in studies utilising dosing as “Water Accommodated Fraction” in both acute and chronic toxicity tests.  Furthermore, the substance is biodegradable under environmentally relevant conditions.

As such, the substance is not considered to pose a hazard to the environment.

Conclusion on classification

Based on evaluation of the ecological toxicity data “white oils” such as the substance to be registered do not meet the criteria for classification as an environmental hazard under European Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008,the CLP Regulation.
