First-aid measures

First-aid measures general : Take off immediately all contaminated clothing.

First-aid measures after inhalation : Assure fresh air breathing. Obtain medical attention if breathing difficulty persists.

First-aid measures after skin contact : Rinse immediately with plenty of water. Get medical advice/attention if you feel unwell.

First-aid measures after eye contact : In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.

First-aid measures after ingestion : Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Rinse mouth. Get medical

advice/attention.

Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed : Get medical advice and attention if you feel unwell.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media : Bank fires with firefighting foam. Carbon dioxide (CO2). Powder.

Fire hazard : Under fire conditions, hazardous fumes will be present. carbon oxides (CO and CO2). nitrogen oxides.

Explosion hazard : Risk of explosion by shock, friction, fire or other sources of ignition.

Precautionary measures fire : Exercise caution when fighting any chemical fire.

Firefighting instructions : Clear the danger area.

Protection during firefighting : Do not enter fire area without proper protective equipment, including respiratory protection. Do

not breathe fumes from fires or vapours from decomposition.

Other information : Large amounts of the product should not be allowed to enter drains or water courses or be

deposited where it can affect ground or surface waters.

General measures : Ventilate area. Avoid creating or spreading dust.

Emergency procedures : Evacuate area.

Protective equipment : Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye or face protection. Where excessive dust may

result, wear approved mask.

Environmental precautions : Prevent entry to sewers and public waters. Dispose of at a licensed waste collection centre.

Handling

Additional hazards when processed : Local exhaust is needed at source of dust. Take precautionary measures against static

discharges. Use personal protective equipment as required.

Precautions for safe handling : Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Handle carefully. Avoid all unnecessary exposure.

Do not breathe dust. Wear recommended personal protective equipment.

Hygiene measures : Do no eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Wash hands and other exposed areas with

soap and water before leaving work. Take off immediately all contaminated clothing.

This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with the REACH regulation Article 17(3) for on-site isolated intermediate and, in case the substance is transported to other sites for further processing, the substance should be handled at these sites under Strictly Controlled Conditions as specified in REACH regulation Article 18(4). Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management systems is available at each Manufacturing site.

Written confirmation of application of Strictly Controlled Conditions has been received from every affected Distributor and Downstream Processor/User of the Registrant’s intermediate.

Storage

Storage conditions : Keep in a cool, well-ventilated place away from moisture. Store in tightly closed containers.

Exposure controls / personal protection

This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with the REACH regulation Article 17(3) for on-site isolated intermediate and, in case the substance is transported to other sites for further processing, the substance should be handled at these sites under Strictly Controlled Conditions as specified in REACH regulation Article 18(4). Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management systems is available at each Manufacturing site.

Hand protection : Wear suitable gloves resistant to chemical penetration. nitrile rubber gloves.

Eye protection : Wear tight fitting safety glasses or facial screen. Emergency eye wash fountains should be

available in the immediate vicinity of any potential exposure.

Skin and body protection : Wear suitable protective clothing. In case of repeated or prolonged exposure : Fully enclosed

impervious protective suit with integral or tight-fitting gloves, boots, self-contained or supplied air

respirator must be worn. Emergency safety showers should be available in the immediate

vicinity of any potential exposure.

Respiratory protection : Provide adequate ventilation to minimize dust concentrations. Where excessive dust may

result, use approved respiratory protection equipment. Dust/aerosol mask with filter type P3.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity : No additional information available

Chemical stability : Stable under normal conditions of use.

Possibility of hazardous reactions : Decomposition generates very strong exotherm from 259 ° C (J/g-899).

Conditions to avoid : Heat. Keep off any ignition sources (e.g., heat, sparks, flam, impact, friction, electricity...). Avoid dust production.

Incompatible materials : Strong oxidizing agents.
