Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The substance exhibits a NOEC (reproduction) of 500 mg/kg dry weight for soil macroorganisms under test conditions which is converted to 213 mg/kg soil dwt.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Long-term EC10, LC10 or NOEC for soil macroorganisms:
213 mg/kg soil dw

Additional information

The original data is converted to a standard soil using the following formula:

NOECstandard = NOECexperiment x (Focstandard / Focexperiment)

NOECstandard = 500 x (0.02 / 0.047)

The organic carbon content of the used peat batch was not determined. Based Laboratory experience, similar peat batches showed an organic carbon content of about 47%. The peat accounts for 10% w/w of the test soil, thus the fraction of organic carbon from the experiment soil is calculated at 4.7%.
