Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

One key study is available to assess the acute toxicity (48h) of Chimexane HB towards Daphnia magna. This study was performed according to OECD 202 (1984) and EC method C2 (1992) with GLP statement, under static condition, using six nominal concentrations (1.0, 1.75, 3.06, 5.36, 9.38 and 16.41 mg/L) plus control, one replicate per test concentration and 20 Daphnia per concentration.

The percentage of immobilization was noted approximately 24 and 48 hours after the start of the study.

No analytical monitoring was performed. Concentration levels of the test substance throughout the study period were guaranteed by the known water solubility and physico-chemical stability of the test substance under experimental conditions.

The 48h-EC50 was determined at 9.1 mg test item/L. As result is expressed in term of test product with its aqueous content, the EC50 value was multiplied by 0.541 to be compared to the other ecotoxicological data. Therefore, the 48h-EC50 was determined at 4.9 mg dry extract/L.
