Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The LC50 (96 h) of FAT 41030/A was determined to be greater than 100 mg/L based on the nominal concentrations. The same is concluded for its structural analogue FAT 41045.

Additional information

The acute toxicity of FAT 41030/A, a structural analogue of FAT 41045, to zebrafish was determined according to OECD test guideline No. 203 in compliance with GLP in a 96 hour semi-static test. Both substances are very similar in their chemical structure and, as demonstrated, in a number of physicochemical properties. Therefore, the use of this study for read-across is considered to be appropriate.

No mortality of fish was recorded in the control and the nominal test concentration of 100 mg/L FAT 41030/A during the 96 hour exposure period. No sublethal effects such as changes in swimming behaviour, respiratory function, pigmentation or loss of equilibrium were observed in the control or the treatment concentration of 100 mg/L during the 96 hour test period. Thus, the LC50 (96 h) of FAT 41030/A was determined to be greater than 100 mg/L based on the nominal concentrations.
