20 °C

Additional information

The water solubility of the copper chelate Cu(II)-IDHA was determined according to OECD Guideline 105 in compliance with GLP ( Lewandowska, 2011). By applying the flask method, the test item was dissolved in buffered (pH 4, 7 and 10) and unbuffered (pH 5.4) solutions. The determination of the test substance was performed by spectrophotometric analysis. All validity criteria (linearity, repeatability, reliability, precision, accuracy) of the analytical method were met.

The solubility of Cu(II)-IDHA in water depending on the pH value at 20 ± 0.5 °C was indicated as follows:

- distilled water at pH 5.4 - 361.16 g/dm3;

- buffer solution at pH 4.0 - 380.28 g/dm3;

- buffer solution at pH 7.0 - 411.89 g/dm3;

- buffer solution at pH 10.0 - 369.47 g/dm3.
