Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The surface tension of the test material was determined in accordance with standardised guidelines OECD 115 and EU Method A.5 using the plate method (with the platinum plate to allow proper assessment of the time dependence of the surface tension). Under the conditions of the test, the surface tension of the test material dissolved in double distilled water at a concentration of 1 g/L (supernatant after centrifugation) at a temperature of 20 °C was determined to be 65.8 mN/m. The test material meets the EU definition of surface active.

The study was performed in line with GLP and following accepted standardised guidelines with a high standard of reporting. The study was assigned a reliability score of 1 in accordance with the principles of assessing data quality outlined in Klimisch (1997), and considered suitable for assessment as an accurate reflection of the test material.

The available data are considered complete and the result determined, 65.8 mN/m at 20 °C at a concentration of 1 g/L, at a temperature of 20 ºC, was taken forward for risk assessment.
