Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The long-term toxicity to the aquatic invertebrate, Daphnia magna, of DVS005u was determined to be EL50 > 100 mg/l according to a study performed in line with GLP and to the standardised guidelines OECD 211 and EU Method C.20.

Additional information

The key study (Goodband, 2011) was conducted in line with GLP and standardised guidelines with a sufficient level of detail to assess the quality of the study. Daphnia magna were exposed to the test material at nominal loading rates within the range 1.0 - 100 mg/l, prepared as a WAF. The test was performed under semi-static freshwater conditions with an exposure time of 21 days. The EL50 was determined to be > 100 mg/l for both immobilisation and reproduction, the NOELR and LOELR for immobilisation were determined to be 100 and > 100 mg/l respectively. The study was performed to a good standard and was assigned a reliability score of 1 using the principles for assessing data quality as set out in Klimisch (1997).
