Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The substance decomposes at 100 °C at 1013 hPa.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
100 °C

Additional information

The melting behaviour of the substance was investigated using differential scanning calorimetry, in accordance with EU Method A.1 and OECD Guideline 102. A pour point study with a high water content (ca. 73%) composition according to ASTM D97-08 was also performed and the result was -8 °C. The decomposition temperature of 100 °C as the best approximation of the melting temperature was chosen as a key value for chemical safety assessment.
