Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Based on long-term (chronic) toxicity study data, the product is very likely not harmful to aquatic organisms.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A long-term toxicity study to aquatic invertebrates has been conducted according GLP and OECD 211. Daphnia magna has been exposed to the test substance for 21 d using a semi-static test design (renewal 3 times per week; test concentrations: 0 (control), 0.625, 1.25, 2.5, 5, 10 mg/L as nominal). After 21 d no significant mortality, reduced reproduction or any other additional significant adverse effects or abnormal behavior were observed in any of the test treatments. Therefore, the LOEC was determined to be > 10 mg/L and the NOEC was determined to be >= 10 mg/L. The data were not sufficient to calculate ECx values for reproduction or mortality. Additionally, since the analytically determined concentrations of the test substance in the test solutions were within the range of ±20% of the nominal concentrations, the effect concentration can be expressed relative to the nominal concentration.

Therefore, based on long-term (chronic) toxicity study data, the product is very likely not harmful to aquatic organisms.
