Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusions:
The average value of the melting point of the test substance was determined to be 321.72 ± 0.21 K under atmospheric pressure of 102.1 kPa.
Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine the melting point of the test substance according to EU Method A.1. using a capillary tube in a heated metal block. A dried finely ground sample was placed in a capillary tube. The measurements were performed in three parallel tubes using BŐCHI Melting Point 545 apparatus. The measurements were performed in the temperature range of 311.15 K – 326.15 K with a temperature gradient of 0.5 K/min. Initially, the temperature was increased at a rate of 3 K/min. The average value of the melting point was determined to be 321.72 ± 0.21 K under atmospheric pressure (102.1 kPa) (Olszewska, 2010).

Description of key information

The melting point was determined according to EU Method A.1 (Olszewska, 2010).

Key value for chemical safety assessment
