Description of key information

The test substance is not ready biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

The ready biodegradability of the substance was examined in a study according to OECD 301C and GLP.

The BOD was determined with a closed system oxygen demand apparatus.

The test substance was analysed with HPLC-UV.

Water-soluble and water-insoluble aluminium and water insoluble calcium were analysed with AAS.

Under the test conditions no biodegradation was observed.

The test substance consists of organic components, their aluminium salts and their calcium salts. Under the conditions of this study, organic parts of these components were not biodegraded by microorganisms.

The validity criteria were fulfilled.
