Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The effect of EEA-NH4 on the growth of the freshwater microalga Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata was determined in a GLP-compliant study according to OECD guideline 201 (Kurume Laboratory, 2006d).

In this static limit test algae (initial cell concentration of 10E+4 cells/mL) were exposed for 72 hours to 100 mg/L EEA-NH4 or a culture medium control (6 replicates per concentration). The concentrations of test substance were analysed with high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) at the start and end of exposure and determined at 96.4 and 98.6 percent of nominal concentration respectively.

Slight, yet significant differences (p<0.05) were observed on both areas under the growth curves and growth rate (7.24 and 1.78% respectively). Based on these findings both the ErC50 and EbC50 were determined at >100 mg/L, and the NOErC and NOEbC were determined at <100 mg/L.
