Description of key information

Green liquor sludge is an UVCB mixture of poorly water soluble inorganic constituents such as hydroxides, carbonates, sulphates and their soluble alkaline metal salts. The relevance of testing hydrolysis by the recommended standard test method (OECD 111/EU C.7.) is therefore expected to be poor and technically and scientifically unjustified. Substituting information is available from material leaching studies and dissolution studies at variable pH conditions (pH 9-1.5).
