Results and discussion

Water solubility
Water solubility:
< 0.23 mg/L
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
7.1
Details on results:
The concentration of the test substance analysed in the water phase was below the concentration of the lowest calibration standard (i.e. 0.200 mg C/l which is close to the limit of detection of the instrument). Taking the carbon content of the test substance (i.e. 87.0% w/w) into account this corresponds to a water solubility 0.230 mg/l.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Interpretation of results (migrated information): other: insoluble or slightly soluble
The flask method was chosen for the determination of the water solubility of Corsair Resin 5. The water solubility of the test substance at 19.8°C ± 0.5°C was < 2.30 x 10-4 g/l. The pH of the aqueous sample after 72 hours stirring was 7.1.
