Details on results:
At the 32, 56 and 100 mg/L concentrations, 100% mortality was observed at 24 hr. In the 18 mg/L concentration, 90% and 100% mortality were observed at 24 and 48 hrs, respectively. At the 10 mg/L concentration, no mortality was observed at 24 and 48 hr and 20% mortality was observed at 96 hrs. No mortality occurred in the negative control group.
Results with reference substance (positive control):
Performed as expected. 96 hrLC50=0.000056 mg/L.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Validity criteria fulfilled:
yes
Conclusions:
An acute static fish toxicity study was conducte with FM PHT-4 Diol. Bluegill sunfish were exposed to concentrations of 10, 18, 32, 56 and 100 mg test substance/L water. Acetone was used as vehicle. All test concentrations were cloudy with the 56 and 100 mg/L levels being completely opaque. The 96-hr LC50 was 12 mg/L with 95% confidence limits of 0-18 mg/L. A 96 -hr no observed effect concentration of <10 mg/L was indicated.
