Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

No experimental result is available for the commercial product nonanol, branched and linear. The constituents of nonanol, branched and linear have vapour pressure in the range ca. 1.7 - 5.9 Pa at ambient temperatures.

Additional information

The vapour pressure of a commercial nonan-1-ol sample is 1.7 Pa at 20°C. The vapour pressure of 1.7 Pa was determined at 20°C in a reliable study. It is supported by a value of 1.63 Pa at 25°C, taken from a reliable reference source (Boublik et al., 1984). A consistent and reliable measurement of 3 Pa at 25°C using a highly pure sample is available (Daubert and Danner, 1989).

The vapour pressure of pure 2 -methyloctan-1-ol is estimated as 5.9 Pa at 25°C using a well established and validated method.
