The pH value was not measured during the study. The pH of the millipore water used during the study was pH: 5.6

The octanol/water partition coefficents of the samples were calculated. table 4 page 19. The mean

values for each test solution are as follows: Log Pow: 3.45 ; 3.43 . For these reasons it has been assumed, because the experimental and calculated values are quite close, it can be inferred that the molecule is nearly uncharged and therefore the pH can be regarded as not significant.
