The experimentally determined partition coefficient Pow of Epikote P is > 3.2 x 10^6 (log Pow >6.5).
Calculation by QSAR according to Meylan et al results in a logPow of 10.07

The determination of the logKow is limited by the analytical method. The value is therefore the lower limit of the "true" value. The QSAR method is considered to give the more accurate estimate, although the result is not supported by an experiment.
