Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove victim to fresh air. Seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with copious amounts of clean,

running water for at least 15 minutes. Seek immediate

medical attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected area with soap and water. In case of lasting

or delayed skin irritation, seek medical advice.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Rinse out mouth with water and seek immediate medical

attention.

Never give anything by mouth to an unconcious person.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, dry chemical.

Product arising from burning: The product is combustible and can be expected to evolve the

oxides of nitrogen and carbon.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and self-contained breathing

apparatus should be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: In case of spillage, wear personal protective equipment.

Provide adequate ventilation. Do not inhale dust and avoid

skin and eye contact. Avoid entry into waste water system,

surface water and ground water.

Humidify spilled material or cover with humid, inert

material.

Sweep up and place in a suitable container. Label container

and dispose of in accordance with local waste regulations.

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid contact with eyes and skin.

Wear suitable gloves and eye/face protection.

No smoking, avoid naked flames or other potential sources of

ignition (e.g. electrical equipment).

Do not subject to unnecessarily high temperatures during

processing.

Do not ingest or apply to the skin as such.

Good personal hygiene routines should be followed.

Maintain adequate ventilation in working areas.

Storage: Substance should be stored in a sealed container in dry

conditions below 40 °C.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Plastic bags inside lined (with plastic bags) fibreboard

drums.

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: None known.

Chemical reaction with water: None which is hazardous.

Dust explosion: Under normal conditions of use this material does not

present a significant explosion hazard. However, like most

organic compounds it is combustible and may form a dust

explosion if widely dispersed in air.

Dust explosion determined by test: N

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from minor spillages or accidental discharge is not

deemed technically or economically feasible and such waste

will be disposed of by incineration.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None known.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance should be disposed of by incineration by

burning under controlled conditions at a licenced waste

treatment processor in accordance with local regulations.

Stack gases should be scrubbed, because noxious fumes

(e.g. oxides of carbon and nitrogen) could be formed.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance should not normally be discharged directly to

the sewage system or the aqueous environment. However,

adverse effects on sewage treatment systems would be

unlikely.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: None known.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable.
