Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Assure fresh air breathing. Allow the victim to rest. Place
the victim in semi-seated position. If breathing is
difficult, give oxygen. If not breathing, give artificial
respiration. Obtain medical attention if breathing
difficulty and/or other complaints appear.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with plenty of water, for at least 15
minutes. Seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Rinse immediately with plenty of water, for at least 15
minutes. Remove affected clothing and wash all exposed skin
area with mild soap and water, followed by warm water rinse.
Seek medical attention if ill effect develops.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Seek medical attention immediately

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Foam, carbon dioxide, water spray.

Product arising from burning: COx, NOx and I-compounds

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Use self-containing breathing apparatus (EN 137) and
standard firefighting gear (EN 469) when in close proximity
to fire.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Eliminate every possible source of ignition.

Avoid dust production. Wear appropriate personal protective
equipment during clean up. Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
Avoid inhalation. Ensure adequate ventilation. Stay upwind.

Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system. If
accidental spillage or washings enter drains or
watercourses contact local Environment Agency.

Evacuate area. Take up with absorbent material (e.g.sand,
general-purpose binder). Collect on absorbent material and
transfer to steel drums for disposal.

Handling and storage

Handling: Handle the product in closed equipment and if possible under
an inert atmosphere. Sufficient local or general
ventilation. Earth the equipment and take enough time to
remove the electrostatic charges. Do not use compressed air
to handle the product.

Keep away from heat and sources of ignition. Avoid all
unnecessary exposure. Do not breathe dust. Wear suitable
protective clothing. Ensure prompt removal from eyes, skin
and clothing. Handle in accordance with good industrial
hygiene and safety procedures. Keep away from food, drink
and animal feeding stuffs.

Storage: Keep containers tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated
place at room temperature protected from light. Don't store
near heat, sparks or open flames. Store in a place
accessible by authorized persons only.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The substance will be stored in UN-certified packaging: a
single PE liner, packed in a fibredrum (1G/X../S),
containing max. 50 kg.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from minor spillages or accidental discharge is not
economically feasable or technically feasable. Such waste
material will be disposed off by incineration.

Larger spillages may be recovered for subsequent use by:
