The DSC-curve obtained with Experiment 1 is shown in Figure 1. During heating, an endothermic peak was observed with an extrapolated onset temperature of 99 °C. A lower heating rate was applied in Experiment 2 to investigate the endothermic peak. The extrapolated onset temperature of the endothermic peak in Experiment 2 was 100 °C. Experiment 3 was performed at the same heating rate as Experiment 1, with an extrapolated onset temperature of 99 °C. The boiling temperature was determined as the average obtained from Experiments 1 and 3.


Conclusions:
The boiling point of HFE s-601 is 99 °C at 101.1 kPa by DSC (OECD 103).
