Version / remarks:
May 1981
Deviations:
no

yes (incl. QA statement)
Key result
Medium:
standard fat
Solubility:
< 0.025 g/kg solvent
Temp.:
37 °C
Test substance stable:
yes
Details on results:
The detector response was found to be linear over the concentration range 2.5288 to 20.230 mg/l, with a correlation coefficient of 0.99963.
There was no observable absorbance in two of the test solutions (tests 24A and 24B at 30°C). The other test solutions exhibited small absorbance, although none were greater than that of the most dilute calibration standard (2.5288 mg/l). The fat solubility of the test solutions is therefore seen to be less than the concentration of the lowest standard present. The fat solubility of T-71 was found to be less than 0.025 g/kg Standard Fat at 37 °C.
The mean recoveries obtained were 101.5 % (3.1725 mg/l) and 106.8 % (6.3450 mg/l) showing that the test substance could be quantitatively analysed.
No peaks were observed in the spectra of the blank solutions indicating that the analytical method was free from interference.

The analytical results can be found in the attachment "T-71 - analytical results fat solubility.pdf".
Conclusions:
The fat solubility of T-71 was found to be as less than 0.025 g/kg Standard Fat at 37 °C.

Description of key information
