Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove the victim from the contamination immediately to

fresh air, and keep the victim quiet. Refer for medical

attention if necessary.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately rinse the affected eyes with clean water for at

least 15 minutes. Refer for medical attention if necessary.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash fully the affected area with much water using a mild

soap.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: If ingested in large quantities, seek medical attantion. If

the victim is unconscious or convulsing, do not induce

vomiting or give anything by mouth.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, dry chemical powder, carbon dioxide, foam, dry sand.

Product arising from burning: The substance is combustible and will burn if involved in

a fire, evolving noxious fumes (eg carbon oxides).

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and self-contained breathing

apparatus must be worn.

Fight the fire from a safe distance or protected location.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: In case of small spills: Absorb spill with sawdust or dry

sand, then place in a chemical waste containers.

In case of large spills: Dam up stream of spills, then place

in a chemical waste containers at once. Store these spills

in closed container until treated everything.

Handling and storage

Handling: The substance should be stored, handled and used under

conditions of good industrial hygiene and in conformity with

any local regulations in order to avoid exposure.

Engineering controls are necessary to reduce exposure to the

substance.

When exposure cannot be prevented or adequately controlled

appropriate personal protective equipment should be worn.

Such protective equipment should conform to the appropriate

international or national standards as follows;

Chemical protective gloves to Standard EN374

Chemical protective clothing to Standard EN368

Eye protection to Standard EN166.

Furthermore, when respiratory protective equipment has to be

used, it must be capable of adequately controlling

exposure, be suitable for the purpose, and conform to the

appropriate international or national standards.

These measures should be regarded as a minimum.

Storage: Put in stoppered or closed containers, and keep away from

sunlight. Keep away from strong oxidising agents, heat,

spark and fire.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Sealed inside the finished article, pens.
