PPP-BP was found to be hydrolytically stable at pH 4, pH 7, and pH 9, as defined by OECD Guideline 111 (OECD, 2002), i.e., less than 10 % loss of PPP-BP was observed after heating for 5.7 days, indicating that the hydrolytic half-life of PPP-BP at these pHs was greater than 1 year at 25°C.

A study according to OECD Guideline 301F is available. The results of the study indicate that the substance cannot be characterized as 'readily biodegradable'. However, the test concentrations used were above the separately determined water solubility limit of 0.22 mg/L.
