Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air if effects occur. Consult a physician.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Wash immediately and continously with flowing water for at

least 30 minutes. Remove contact lenses after the first 5

minutes and continue washing. Obtain prompt medical

consultation, preferably an ophtalmologist.

Emergency measure - Skin: Immediately wash thoroughly any size exposure with non-

abrasive soap and large quantities of water for 30 minutes

while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Destroy

contaminated leather items such as shoes, belts and

watchbands.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: If swallowed, seek medical attention. Do not induce

vomitting unless directed to do so by a medical personnel.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, dry chemical. Dry foundry sand. Avoid using

water which may not be effective in extinguishing fire.

Product arising from burning: NOx, CO, CO2, H2O, TiO2

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Wear positive-pressure self contained breathing equipment

and protective fire fighting clothing (including fire

fighting helmet, coat, trousers, boots and gloves)

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Cover and soak up with a suitable absorbent material.

Dispose of according to applicable regulations. The

substance should be neutralised with isopropanol. Incinerate

under controlled conditions in accordance with all local

and national laws and regulations. Do not dump into sewers,

on the ground or into any body of water.

Contain and sweep up material. Collect in suitable and

properly labelled containers.

To minimise exposure of workers during clean up, the use of

industry vacuum cleaners is recommended.

Empty containers are shipped back to the supplier for refill

.

Handling and storage

Handling: Do not get in eyes, on skin or on clothing. Avoid prolonged

or repeated contact with skin. Wash thoroughly after

handling. Avoid breathing vapour. Use with adequate

ventilation. Keep container tightly closed.

Storage: Store in a dry place. Protect from atmospheric moisture.

Store in accordance with good manufacturing practices.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Material will be shipped in C-430 tanks, which are 208 cm  x

107cm x 122cm, have a 2.71 cubic metric shipping cube, a

tare weight of 635-816kg and hold 1465L (ca. 90% full). A C-

430 full of the preparation containing the substance at <5%

will therefore roughly weigh 1800-2100kg.
