First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient from exposure, keep warm and at rest. Obtain
medical attention if ill effects occur.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately irrigate with eyewash solution or clean
water,holding the eyelids apart, for at least 10 minutes.
Obtain medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. After contact with skin, wash
immediately with plenty of water. If symptoms (irritation
or blistering) occur obtain medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Wash out mouth with water and give 200-300ml of water to
drink. Do not induce vomiting as a First-Aid measure.
Obtain immediate medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, foam, dry powder or CO2

Protective equipment: A self contained breathing apparatus and suitable protective
clothing should be worn in fire conditions.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Ensure suitable personal protection (including respiratory
protection) during removal of spillages. Do not empty into
drains. Use appropriate containment to avoid environmental
contamination. Protect against dust. Clear up spillages.
Transfer to a container for disposal or recovery. Wash the
spillage area with water.

Handling and storage

Handling: Control dust formation. Do not breathe dust. Avoid contact
with skin and eyes. Take precautionary measures against
static discharges.

Storage: Keep container tightly closed.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Plastic bag of LDPE, sealed with a strap and then in an
Aluminium bag (VTT climapac II) and fibre drum or equivalent
for mechanical protection.
