Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove exposed person to fresh air. Give oxygen or

artificial respiration if needed. Seek medical advice.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush eye immediately with plenty of water for 15 minutes.

Seek medical advice.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash skin with soap and water. In case of irritation seek

medical advice.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Symptomatic treatment. In case of indisposition seek medical

advice.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, dry chemical, alcohol and universal foam and

carbon dioxide may be used.

Product arising from burning: May generate carbon dioxide.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Fire-fighters should wear air-supplied respirators.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Eliminate all ignition sources and wear suitable protective

clothing. Suck up and transfer to labelled containers.

Dispose of in accordance with government requirements and

ensure conformity to local regulations.

Handling and storage

Handling: The preparation containing the substance will only be used

in the industry by well trained personnel. Exposure is

minimal. Inhalation and skin contact are avoided by the use

of impermeable protective gloves and dust masks. Dust-proof

filling apparatus and appropriate ventilation are also used.

Storage: The preparation containing the substance should be stored in

securely closed unbreakable containers at temperatures

below 20°C protected from sunlight. Keep away from foodstuff

and sources of ignition.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: One gallon glass bottles.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The preparation is not recovered or recycled during normal

use. Any spilled material is not recovered but is disposed

of by incineration or disposal to landfill in accordance

with local regulations.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not known.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Contaminated containers or spillages of the preparation

mixed with inert material (e.g. sand or soil) may be

disposed of in an authorized tip in accordance with local

regulations.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Code 661: incinerator with flue gas scrubbing

The preparation may be disposed of by burning under

controlled conditions at a licensed waste treatment

processor in accordance with local regulations. Stack gases

should be scrubbed as noxious fumes (e.g. carbon dioxide)

could be formed. Incineration is the preferred method of

disposal.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: In the unlikely event that the preparation should enter the

water treatment system, contaminated water should be treated

by means of floculation recipitation. The precipitated

material should then be incinerated.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: None.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: No public product.

Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: No public product.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: No public product.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: No public product.
