First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Move to an area free from risk of further exposure. Consult
a pyhsician immediately.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush with clean, lukewarm water (low pressure) for at least
15 minutes, holding eyelids open during flushing. Obtain
immediate medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash affected areas
thoroughly with soap and water. See a physician if
irritation, redness, or a burning sensation develops. Wash
contaminated clothing thoroughly before reuse.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Dry chemical, CO2, or appropriate chemical foam.

Water spray for large fires.

Product arising from burning: Oxides of carbon and nitrogen

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Eye/face protection: Chemical googles and/or face shield if
splash potential.

Respirators: Use a NIOSH/MSHA - approved positive pressure
air-supplied respirator equipped with a full facepiece or an
air-supplied hood.

Protective clothing: Clean waterproof clothing, i.e.
coveralls, laboratory coat, chemical resistant gloves
(neoprene, nitrile-butadiene rubber, butyl rubber)

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: In case of spill: Evacuate the spill area - only properly

protected personnel should remain in the immediate area.

Prevent further leakage, spillage or entry into drains.

Spill clean-up: Clean-up should only be performed by trained
personnel. Wear full protective equipment including
respiratory protection. If in a powder form, minimize dust
during clean-up. Scoop or scrape material up and place in
an open container and remove to a well-ventilated area.

Handling and storage

Handling: The preparation is handled in a fully closed system.

During maintenance and cleaning processes wear suitable
protective clothing (such as coveralls), chemical resistant
gloves, eye (chemical goggles)/face (face shield) protection
and respiratory protection (Visonair 5000 respirator) to
minimize any possible exposure.

Storage: Keep containers properly sealed and when stored indoors, in
a well-ventilated area. Store in a cool dry place.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The preparation will be contained in a flexible intermediate
bulk container with liner to BS 6382 Pt1 UN Designation
(where appropriate 13H3). The bag contains nominal 500 kg.
