Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove person to fresh air.  If not breathing, give

artificial respiration.  If breathing is difficult, give

oxygen.  Seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush immediately with plenty of water for a least 15

minutes.  Seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Flush immediately with large amounts of water for at least

15 minutes.  Remove contaminated clothing.  Seek medical

attention.  Wash contaminated clothing before reusing.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, dry chemical powder

Product arising from burning: During fire, fumes containing sulphur oxide and nitrogen

oxide may be liberated.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Fire fighters should wear full protective clothing and self

contained breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Sweep up and place into a suitable container for disposal.

Dispose of material in accordance with Government

requirements and ensure conformity to local disposal

regulations.  To clean contaminated floors, flush with

abundant quantities of water into sewerage treatment systems

if permitted by local regulations.  If not permitted,

collect water and treat.

Handling and storage

Handling: The test substance will only be used in the IC industry by

trained personnel.  Exposure is minimal. Skin contact is

avoided by the use of chemical resistant gloves and suitable

protective clothing.  Inhalation is avoided by use of

appropriate respirators.

Mechanical room ventilation is provided, and special local

exhaust is recommended at points where vapors can be

released into the workplace air.

Storage: The substance should be stored in closed, original container

in a cool, dry area at 50 - 90 deg F.  Do not store in

direct sunlight or expose to light.  Keep container closed

when not in use.  Avoid storing longer than a year.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The preparation is packaged into either one gallon or quart

bottles, which are put in a cardboard box.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: Keep away from heat, open flame and sparks.

Chemical reaction with water: None known

Dust explosion: N/A The material is only present in low concentrations in

the liquid preparation.

Dust explosion determined by test: N

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Due to the low concentration of the test substance in the

product formulation, recovery would not be effective.

Contaminated product cannot be recycled in most cases.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Contaminated containers or spillages of the preparation

mixed with inert material (e.g. sand or soil) maybe disposed

of at an authorised tip in accordance with local

regulations.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The usual route to destruction of this material is by

dissolution into a cleaning or wash solvent following by

incineration.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: In the unlikely event that the preparation should enter the

water treatment systems, contaminated water should be

treated by means of flocculation precipitation. The

precipitated material should be incinerated.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: None known.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable as the substance will not be used by the

general public.
