First-aid measures

General information:

Symptoms of poisoning may even occur after several hours; therefore medical observation for at least 48 hours after the accident.

After inhalation:

Supply fresh air and to be sure call for a doctor.

In case of unconsciousness place patient stably in side position for transportation.

After skin contact:

Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly.

After eye contact:

Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor.

After swallowing:

Rinse out mouth and then drink plenty of water.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media

Suitable extinguishing agents:

CO2, powder or water spray.

Fight larger fires with water spray or alcohol resistant foam.

For safety reasons unsuitable extinguishing agents: Water with full jet

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture

No further relevant information available.

Advice for firefighters

Protective equipment: No special measures required

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:

Wear protective equipment.

Keep unprotected persons away.

Environmental precautions:

Inform respective authorities in case of seepage into water course or sewage system.

Do not allow to enter sewers/ surface or ground water.

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:

Dispose contaminated material as waste according to item 13.

Ensure adequate ventilation.

Handling and storage

Handling: The substance should be stored and used under conditions of good industrial hygiene and in conformity with any local regulations in order to avoid exposure.

Engineering controls are necessary to reduce exposure to the substance.

When exposure cannot be prevented or adequately controlledappropriate personal protective equipment should be worn.

Such protective equipment should conform to the appropriate international or national standards as follows;

Chemical protective gloves to Standard EN374

Chemical protective clothing to Standard EN368

Eye protection to Standard EN166.

Furthermore, when respiratory protective equipment has to be used, it must be capable of adequately controlling exposure,be suitable for the purpose, and

conform to the appropriate international or national standards, such as a dust mask conforming to EN149, FFP1.

These measures should be regarded as a minimum.

Storage: Store in a dry well-ventilated area, away from sources of ignition.

Keep containers tightly closed when not in use.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Open top steel drums / fibreboard boxes, approximately 25 kg per item.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Control parameters

Ingredients with limit values that require monitoring at the workplace: Not required.

Additional information:

Recommendations are based on official exposure lists and guidance current at the date of MSDS issue

Exposure controls

Personal protective equipment:

General protective and hygienic measures:

Avoid inhalation of dust

Keep away from foodstuffs, beverages and animal feed.

Immediately remove all soiled and contaminated clothing

Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work.

Avoid contact with the eyes.

Avoid contact with the eyes and skin.

Respiratory protection: Not required.

Protection of hands:

Protective gloves

The glove material must be impermeable and resistant to the product/ the substance/ the preparation.

In the absence of further information no recommendation for the glove material can be given for the product/the preparation/ the chemical mixture.

Selection of suitable glove material requires consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion anddegradation under conditions of use

Material of gloves

The selection of suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on manufactured quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.

Penetration time of glove material

The exact break through times can be provided by the manufacturer of the protective gloves, and must be observed.

Eye protection:

Tightly sealed goggles

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity

Chemical stability

Thermal decomposition / conditions to be avoided: No decomposition if used according to specifications.

Possibility of hazardous reactions No dangerous reactions known.

Conditions to avoid Prolonged exposure to heat

Incompatible materials:

Reducing agents
