First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove affected person to fresh air.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush eyes with copious amounts of cold running water for at

least 15 minutes.

Emergency measure - Skin: Flush affected areas with water and wash with soap and

water.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Use foam, dry chemical powder, carbon dioxide or water

spray.

Product arising from burning: Oxides of carbon and nitrogen, hydrogen cyanide.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Fire fighters should wear self-contained breathing apparatus

with full face piece and protective clothing in the event of

fire.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Ensure that personal protective equipment is worn (or full

contained breathing apparatus if appropriate).  Soak up

substance with absorbent material or scrape it up.  Collect

as much as possible for eventual disposal.  Residue can be

removed with water.  Contaminated clothing, absorbent

material, packaging should be collected in a plastic bag and

disposed of via incineration.

Handling and storage

Handling: As the test substance is only imported into the EU in the

form of a preparation, only handling procedures related to

the preparation will be considered.

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment which

includes impervious gloves, full clothing, safety goggles

with side shields or chemical splash-proof goggles.  Avoid

circumstances that produce respirable particles unless

suitable ventilation and respirator (NIOSH/MSHA approved

respiratory protection) are used.

Storage: As the test substance is only imported into the EU in the

form of a preparation, only storage details related to the

preparation will be considered.

Store upright in a dark, refrigerated area (below -18°C) to

ensure the stability of the substance.  Keep in a suitable

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: During normal use, the substance cannot be recycled.

Recovery of the substance and subsequent re-use is not

practical without compromising the properties of the

substance.  The substance is used in a preparation for high

purity applications.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Soak up spilled preparation with suitable absorbent material

and incinerate.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Incineration is the preferred method. Flue gases should be

scrubbed.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: Not recommended.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable.
