Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air and seek medical attention if
respiratory irritation occurs.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15
minutes. Seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected area with soap and water. Seek medical
attention if irritation develops.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek immediate medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, carbon dioxide, foam or dry chemical powder
extinguishers may be used.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon and
nitrogen and compounds containing chlorine, fluorine and
phosphorus.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and self-contained breathing
apparatus must be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Evacuate personnel from immediate vicinity.

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment conforming to
the relevant national or international standards as
mentioned in section 2.3.10.

Avoid dust formation by damping down with water. Absorb
spillages of solutions with a suitable inert material (eg
sand or soil). Carefully transfer the spillage to waste
containers, or use a sealed industrial vacuum machine.
Containers filled with waste material must be labelled in
the same way as the original containers. Dispose of all
contaminated clothing.

Clean the spillage area with water and detergent.

Dispose of waste material by incineration in accordance with
local regulations.

Handling and storage

Handling: The substance should be stored, handled and used in
conditions of good industrial hygiene and in conformity with
any local regulations in order to avoid exposure.

When exposure cannot be prevented or adequately controlled
appropriate personal protective equipment should be worn.
Such protective equipment should conform to the appropriate
international or national standards as follows;

Chemical protective gloves to Standard EN374

Chemical resistant clothing to Standard EN368

Eye protection to Standard EN166

When necessary appropriate respiratory protection should be
used. e.g.a dust mask conforming to EN149.

The standards mentioned above should be regarded as a
minimum.

Storage: Store in a cool. dry, well-ventilated area.

Keep containers tightly closed when not in use.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 1.0kg net in plastic bottles, with a maximum of ten bottles
per fibreboard box.

powder.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Discharge to the environment will not occur. Recovery from
minor spillages or accidental discharge is not economically
or technically feasible, and such waste material will be
disposed of by incineration. In principle, it may be
possible to recover larger spillages of uncontaminated
material for subsequent use.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Chemical neutralisation is not applicable.

The dust explosion hazard will be minimised by use of
appropriate storage and handling.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: The substance and packaging will not be disposed of by
landfill.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance and packaging can be disposed of by
incineration by burning under controlled conditions at a
licensed waste treatment processor in accordance with local
regulations. Stack gases should be scrubbed, because noxious
fumes (eg carbon and nitrogen oxides and compounds
containing chlorine, fluorine and phosphorus) could be
formed.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance will not be discharged to the sewage system or
aqueous environment.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable as the substance will not be made available
to the general public.
